Launching hi-tech careers across Australia with Akkodis Academy.

Akkodis Academy, in collaboration with SA Government and Microsoft Australia, brings you the Tech Start program!

Designed specifically for and with the hi-tech industry, Tech Start helps participants gain industry recognised micro-credentials, professional mentoring and career development support.

 

Tech Start will provide the connections, pathways and confidence to help individuals pursue a career in an exciting and growing hi-tech industry.

 

Our goal for the Tech Start program is to support you to acquire the skills and credentials necessary to step into entry level data analyst, Microsoft Dynamics 365, cyber security, cloud or software development roles. All of these roles have been identified as entry level roles across the hi-tech sector.

About the program

The 10 to 12 week part time (20 hours/week) program will provide participants with both technical and professional skills. The program is divided into three modules:

  • Industry recognised certification

  • Experiential learning project with an industry partner

  • Personalised career development, delivered by experts

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to access exclusive industry and career talks.

Who is the program for?

The Tech Start program is open to any South Australian woman interested in a career in IT, in particular, data analytics, Microsoft Dynamics 365, cyber security, cloud, software development – not just STEM graduates. Regardless of your academic and work background, this program will provide training and practical experience.

There are very limited opportunities available and the application process will be competitive. To put your best foot forward, we are looking for candidates that can demonstrate the following:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Creativity and commitment in solving problems;

  • A genuine interest in South Australia’s high-tech industries;

  • The ability to commit to a part time course for approximately 20 hours a week which includes attending one live instructor-led training per week.

  1. Over the age of 18

  2. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold full working rights in Australia

  3. Identity as a woman

  4. Based in South Australia

  5. Completion of short assessment (non-technical)
