Practical AI Skills for Teaching, Learning and Assessment
AI for VET Educators is a national professional learning program designed to help VET educators use AI confidently, responsibly and effectively in everyday teaching and work.
The program provides practical guidance to help educators build their AI capabilities and apply AI appropriately in teaching and professional practice. It was designed by the Digital, AI and Technology Centre of Excellence, Microsoft and Akkodis Academy.
The program assumes a foundational level of AI literacy, and extends that with learning designed for educators, using real teaching, learning, and assessment scenarios.
Choose the stream that matches your experience: Copilot in Practice for introductory skills, or Copilot in Action for advanced application. Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat (Copilot Chat) is used throughout the program to minimise barriers to access and help you apply new skills immediately. Participation may count towards professional development requirements. If you use the Educator Passport, refer to your institution’s guidelines to confirm eligibility.
