AI for VET Educators: A National Program
Work and learning are changing rapidly, with artificial intelligence creating new possibilities across every industry. For VET educators, understanding how to use AI effectively can offer practical ways to support teaching, engage learners and manage everyday work.
What is AI For VET Educators?
AI for VET Educators is a national program designed for educators in vocational education and training (VET), the sector that prepares Australians for skilled work through TAFEs and other training providers.
The program teaches VET educators how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat (Copilot Chat) to support planning, communication and other everyday educator tasks, so you can immediately put what you learn into practice.
Whether you have used Copilot Chat before or are just getting started, you can choose a learning stream that matches your current knowledge and confidence, then build your skills from there.
The sessions are delivered online, so you can join in from anywhere in Australia.

Who created the program and why?
AI for VET Educators grew from a shared ambition to help Australia’s vocational education workforce use AI confidently and apply it in practical ways that support teaching, learning and assessment.
Three organisations collaborated to create and deliver the program.

Digital, AI and Technology Centre of Excellence
Led by Chisholm Institute and supported by the Australian and Victorian Governments, the Digital, AI and Technology Centre of Excellence helps build the digital, AI and technology skills Australia needs, while preparing for the jobs of tomorrow.
